One of the first things that I did when I decided to become a children's book author was go out and buy some books on how to write for children. I started at the local Books a Million since there was no nearby Barnes and Noble. Then I progressed on to amazon.com. I was determined and 20 books later they are on my bookcase gathering dust. I wish I had have know someone like Verla Kay who is a member of my FB group Red River Writers. She is a master at writing children's books. Below is a list of recommend books taken from her site verlakay.com. I would suggest that you go to her site and see the many writing tips that she has to offer. While there join her forum.
