James Mascia recieved his Bachelors Degree in Creative Writing from SUNY New Paltz, and a Masters Degree in Education from Dowling College. When he graduated, he began teaching at both the high school and college levels in Southern Maryland.
James has had several short stories published in A Thousand Faces - a journal of super-human fiction, about a group of high school students who discover they have special abilities. These stories were the inspiration for James' young adult novel," High School Heroes" which is due out Summer 2010, published by L&L Dreamspell Publishers. James also dabbles in comics. He has two short comics being published in two seperate anthologies - "The Retirement of Captain Hook" in ICONIC, and "Guardian" will be published in IF-X come Summer.
James enjoys teaching, and writing every day, while spending time with his wife, Shelley, and catching up on the thousands of books he has littering his own shelves. He writes a blog, about his publishing pursuits, which he updates a couple times a week.
